What is a V62 form used for?

The V62 (‘Application for a Vehicle Registration Certificate’) is the DVLA form you submit when you don’t have a valid V5C logbook for a vehicle - for example after buying a car with no logbook, or if yours was lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed.

Do I still have to pay the DVLA's £25 fee?

Most V62 applications carry a £25 DVLA fee. It's included in your £49.95 - we buy a Post Office postal order and enclose it with your form. The fee is waived if you're a new keeper with the green "new keeper" slip, or the vehicle was an insurance write-off.
